10 Disadvantages to Nuclear Power

Here are several disadvantages to Nuclear Power.


1.  Nuclear meltdowns can produce vast amounts of damage.
2.  Nuclear power plant accidents easily caused.(Three Mile Island, and Chernobyl)
3.  Radioactive waste has to be stored for thousands of years.
4.  Waste can spontaneously combust without warning.
5.  Nuclear reactors wear down easily and are expensive to replace.
6.  Radiation can mutate people which can be fatal.
7.  Nuclear power plants produce plutonium or uranium that can be used
to make nuclear bombs.
8.  Nuclear power plants are attractive targets to terrorists.
9.  Uranium will last for only 30-60 years.
10.  Uranium is a non-renewable resource.
